What We Cover Under Warranty

When you book a general pest treatment with Pesties.au, you’re covered for the following:

Internal cockroaches and ants – covered for 3 months in our Annual Guardian Pest Treatment, and 12 months for our 360° Ultimate Protection Pest Treatment
External webbing spiders – covered for 3 months

These warranties apply to standard residential infestations and give you ongoing protection and support after your service. You can always contact us if something pops up during your warranty period.

What’s Not Covered

Some pests and situations fall outside the scope of our warranty. These include:

✘ German Cockroaches

Due to their rapid breeding cycles and resistance to many products, we don’t offer warranty coverage for German cockroach infestations – but we do offer targeted treatment options that work.

✘ External Ants

External ants often reinvade from neighbouring properties, making them difficult to guarantee. Even with strong barrier treatments, they may return over time.

✘ Rodents

Because rodents can freely move in and out of a structure, there’s no way to fully control their behaviour over time. Our rodent control solutions and products are highly effective, but warranty doesn’t apply.

What About First-Time or Severe Infestations?

If it’s your first time booking a treatment with us and you’re dealing with a heavy infestation, we may recommend more than one visit. In these cases, warranty may not apply upfront, but:

✓ We’ll always be upfront about what’s required and what to expect

Cockroach droppings inside cupboards or wardrobes (like brown grains of rice)
Visible baby cockroaches (nymphs)
Egg sacs found in kitchens or bathrooms

These signs usually indicate internal breeding, which often requires multiple treatments for full control.

In cases of severe infestation, thorough preparation is absolutely critical.

Internal vs External Areas: How We Define Them

To avoid confusion, here’s how we separate internal and external zones:

Bathrooms
Laundries
Hallways and living spaces

External areas include:

Gardens, patios, sheds
Pool areas, fencing, play equipment
Garages (even if enclosed or converted)

⚠️ Garages are always classed as external because the doors don’t seal tightly – making them vulnerable to easy access by pests and re-infestation. As such, they’re not covered under internal warranties.

We only use APVMA approved, premium, professional-grade products, mixed at full label strength. We never water anything down. Treatments are safe for people, dogs, and cats once dry. For other pets (like birds or reptiles), your technician will let you know if special steps are needed.

We also don’t build the cost of follow-ups into your first visit – that’s what helps us keep prices fair. If a second visit is needed, it’s discussed clearly and priced reasonably.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I still see pests after treatment?

That can happen – especially in the first few weeks. Most products take time to transfer through the colony. As long as you’re not seeing baby cockroaches or evidence of internal breeding after 4–6 weeks, you’re still in the clear. If you’re unsure, get in touch.

Do I need to move furniture or empty cupboards?

Not unless you’ve seen activity in those areas. If there’s live cockroach activity or droppings inside cupboards, it helps to clear them before we arrive.

Do I have to leave during the treatment?

We recommend it, however in most cases we can work around your activities. Our treatments are low toxicity and safe for people and pets once dry. Most customers stay home while we work.

Can I clean afterwards?

Yes – just avoid mopping or wiping right up against treated skirtings or corners for about 5–7 days to maintain the treatment’s residual power. If treatment has been applied directly to cupboard areas (during a German cockroach treatment for example) then we recommend cleaning only with dry paper towel in the weeks following treatment.
