Welcome to Pesties.au. By engaging our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.


1. Scope of Services

Pesties.au provides professional pest control services targeting a range of common pests including but not limited to cockroaches, ants, spiders, and other general pests. The specific terms of service, warranties, and conditions are outlined below.


2. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a safe and effective pest control service, customers must:

Property Access:

  • Provide safe and accessible access to the property during the scheduled service time. This includes ensuring reasonably flat parking is available on site, unlocking side gates, and restraining animals prior to technician arrival.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards on the property.
  • Remove excess stored items, and give reasonable access to walls and other areas.
  • If severe infestations are present, removal of all stored items in affected areas will be required.
  • Remove clothes from clothesline, covers from BBQ and patio furniture
  • Ensure that all rooms, sheds, and areas to be treated are unlocked and accessible prior to technician arrival

Animals:

  • Dogs and Pets: Dogs must be restrained securely before and during treatment. Customers are liable for any injury caused to Pesties.au staff or contractors by unrestrained animals.
  • Fish, Bees, Reptiles, Birds, and Other Animals: Customers must inform Pesties.au in writing before the service of the presence of fish tanks, beehives, aviaries, apiaries, reptile enclosures, or any other animals or sensitive areas. Pesties.au is not liable for any injury, harm, or damage to animals or property where such disclosure was not provided in advance. Fish tanks, beehives, reptile enclosures, aviaries, apiaries, and bodies of water containing fish, must be covered prior to treatment.

3. Payment Terms

  • Payment Due: Full payment is required upon completion of the initial service unless otherwise agreed in writing. Where the client will not be present on site during the treatment, payment must be completed prior to commencement of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Late Payments: Unpaid invoices may incur interest and recovery fees.
  • Cancellation Fees: Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee.

4. Liability and Indemnity

While Pesties.au takes every reasonable precaution during treatments, we are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing Property Conditions: Any damage resulting from pre-existing conditions on the property.
  • Customer Safety and Allergies: It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all occupants, including individuals with known sensitivities, allergies, or health concerns, vacate or remain safely away from areas being treated during and after the service as advised by our technicians. Pesties.au is not liable for any adverse health reactions if these precautions are not followed.
  • Environmental Factors: Infestations caused by environmental conditions or neighboring properties beyond our control.
  • Undisclosed Hazards: Any harm or injury caused where customers failed to inform us in writing about the presence of animals, fish tanks, beehives, or similar risks.

5. Termination of Services

We reserve the right to terminate services in cases where:

  • Customer cooperation is not provided.
  • Unsafe conditions are present on the property.
  • Payments remain unpaid beyond the agreed terms.

6. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation or legal proceedings within the appropriate jurisdiction.


7. Amendments and Updates

Pesties.au reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of changes through our website or direct communication.


8. Warranty Terms

We offer a 6-month or 12-month limited warranty – depending on the level of treatment carried out) covering the following pests only:

Annual Guardian Pest Treatment

  • Internal Cockroaches and Ants (Excluding German Cockroaches): Treatment is guaranteed for six from the date of the initial service.
  • External Webbing Spiders: Treatment is guaranteed for 3 months from the date of the initial service.

Annual Guardian Pest Treatment

  • Internal Cockroaches and Ants (Excluding German Cockroaches): Treatment is guaranteed for twelve months from the date of the initial service.
  • External Webbing Spiders: Treatment is guaranteed for 3 months from the date of the initial service.

Warranty Conditions:

  • Pre-existing Infestations: Warranties are only offered if the pre-existing infestation is not severe. If a technician determines that the infestation is too extensive at the time of the initial service, a warranty may be declined, or additional treatments may be required at the customer’s expense.
  • If preparation instructions are not carried out prior to treatment, then any warranty will be void.

Warranty Exclusions:

  • Pests not specifically listed above (e.g., termites, fleas, bed bugs, rodents).
  •  No warranty is offered for German Cockroaches under any circumstances due to the persistent nature of this species. General pest treatments carried out for Australian and American cockroaches will have little effect on German cockroaches. For German cockroach infestations, a dedicated German cockroach treatment is required.
  • No warranty is offered for external ants and cockroaches, regardless of the type of treatment carried out.
  • Any damage caused by pests.
  • Infestations resulting from environmental factors beyond our control (e.g., construction activity or neighbouring properties).
  • Warranties are exercisable by the client who made the initial booking only, and are not transferable.
  • Under no circumstances will be refunds be offered.

9. Service Calls and Retreatments

Service calls within the warranty period are spot treatments only and cover affected areas identified at the time of the call.

Service Call Limitations:

  • Duration: Spot treatments generally take 5-10 minutes.
  • Scope: Treatment is limited to specific areas of concern as identified by the customer. Full retreatments are not provided under warranty.
  • In order for service calls to be carried out effectively, all stored items MUST BE REMOVED from areas with remaining pest activity prior to technician arrival. If items are not removed, we will be unable to effectively treat areas with persistent pest activity, and this will void any future warranty and service calls for this location. This includes pantries, kitchen cupboards, wardrobes etc, should these areas require retreating.

Scheduling Service Calls:

  • Service calls are scheduled when a technician is already operating in the customer’s area.
  • Pesties.au uses only premium, transfer products on internal areas. Whilst transfer products yield a better result long term, they a longer timeframe to bring about full colony elimination as the product transfers through the colony. As such, service call will not be provided within the first 6 weeks following treatment, as any products used during the initial treatment will still be taking effect during this period.
  • Wait Time: Service calls are scheduled on a ‘proximity to address’ basis. Customers should allow up to 4 weeks for service calls due to scheduling constraints.
  • Urgent Service Requests: May incur additional fees if expedited treatment is required.

10. Locked Doors and Inaccessible Areas

It is expected that all areas to be treated – including but not limited to sheds, internal rooms, detached garages – are unlocked and accessible upon arrival.

Pesties.au Will:

  • Move small non-permanent items such as shoes placed against skirting within reason.
  • Ask that any areas harbouring significant infestation be cleared for treatment, providing that it can be done so within a reasonable time frame.

Pesties.au Will Not:

  • Stop and ask for locked areas – such as sheds, internal rooms, or external garages – be unlocked. It will be assumed that these areas are preferred by the client not to be accessed by us.
  • Move furniture, clothing of any type, electronics to gain access to areas.
