A little preparation goes a long way in helping us deliver the most effective treatment possible. To make sure everything runs smoothly on the day, and make sure you get the most effective treatment possible, here are a few simple steps to follow before we arrive.

Outdoor Preparation

  • Please ensure all gates are unlocked so we can access the full perimeter of your property. If we can’t reach it, we can’t treat it.

  • Clotheslines – If you’d like us to spray the eaves above your clothesline, please remove any items beforehand to avoid contamination.

  • Pets – Dogs should be safely secured. The best approach is to keep them indoors while we treat outside, and then move them outside while we treat indoors. We’ll let you know when it’s time to swap them over.

  • Parking – We do need reasonable parking access on or near the property, as our vehicles carry equipment and products that we’ll need close by.

  • Water access – We’ll need easy access to a tap during the service. Please make sure one is available and easy to access.

  • Sensitive areas – If you have a fish tank, reptile enclosure, or apiary, please let us know in writing ahead of time. These areas will need to be covered, and we will take a wider berth. Our products are designed to eliminate insects, so they will be harmful to bees and aquatic life if exposed directly.

Indoor Preparation

  • Clear the space under the manhole if you’ve requested treatment in the roof void.

  • Empty and clean infested areas – If you’ve seen pest activity in cupboards, pantries, drawers, or other confined spaces, please empty and disinfect them before we arrive. This is especially important for cockroach or ant infestations. The more access we have to the source of the problem, the better the result.

We really can’t stress this enough – if we can’t reach the areas where pests are active, the treatment won’t be as effective. We want your treatment to be as effective as possible, and taking the time to clean and clear those spots gives us the best chance to fully resolve any issues.

A Few Extra Tips

  • Avoid mopping or cleaning treated surfaces for 5 to 7 days after your service, especially around skirting boards and entry points.

  • Keep children and pets away from treated areas until dry – usually around one to two hours.

  • If you’ve recently had another pest service, let us know. It helps us tailor your treatment plan and avoid any interference between products.

If you’re ever unsure or have a unique situation, just get in touch. We’re here to help and happy to walk you through it. A little preparation on your part helps us deliver the best results on ours.
